Super Dimona Motor Glider

Our unique, "Eco-friendly", fibre glass, Touring Motor Glider enables you to experience the comfort and performance of a modern sailplane in a powered aircraft. It is designed and built by one of Europe's leading aircraft manufactures, Diamond Aircraft Industries in Austria.

In "power" mode with the engine running it out performs many of today's conventional light aircraft. The Super Diamond cruises at up to 200kph whilst consuming as little as 14 liters of fuel per hour. A conventional light aircraft can consume more than double that amount.

In "glide" mode, it becomes a performance sailplane capable of gliding over 30 km for every 1000 meters of height loss. This range can be extended to hundreds of kilometers by using solar energy in the form of thermals on sunny days.

 

The aircraft is comprehensively equipped with a suite of instruments and avionics including a Moving Map Display, GPS Navigation, Radar Transponder and a Garmin flight computer.
