General Terms & Conditions

• All our aircraft are subject to a maximum passenger weight of 100 kgs. Persons over 100 kgs cannot be flown in our aircraft. You may be asked to confirm your weight.
• Vouchers are valid for twelve (12) months from date of purchase.
• Melbourne Motor Gliding Club Inc does its best to honour vouchers on the day and time the voucher holder wishes to fly allowing for weather conditions, aircraft serviceability and pilot availability.
• Melbourne Motor Gliding Club Inc reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule flights if the weather is deemed unsuitable for flying our aircraft
• Melbourne Motor Gliding Club Inc reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule flights if the pilot deems the aircraft unserviceable for any reason.
• If the voucher holder wishes to redeem a voucher that is up to three (3) months past its expiry date the voucher holder is liable to pay any difference between the current price and the original purchase price of the flight voucher.
• Participants should be in good physical health. If you have a physical disability or a known health issue that could be affected whilst flying please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate any special needs.
• Passengers under the age of 18 must have parental consent. You will be required to sign an indemnity form provided by the Gliding Federation of Australia on the day and prior to your flight.
• Passengers will not be permitted to fly if they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This assessment is made at the pilot’s discretion and is not open for discussion. Your pilot is the sole discretionary with regard to flight rules and safety.

Flight Limitations

• To fly in the our Motor Glider your weight must not exceed 100kg. You may be weighed to confirm.
• People with known medical conditions or disabilities, must themselves assess their own suitability to safely fly with us without aggravation to afore mentioned medical conditions.
• We endeavour to accommodate any special needs if informed in a timely manner.

Weather

• Gliding is weather dependant and flying operations may be cancelled at any time if conditions become unsuitable. We will endeavour to contact you should we need to reschedule your flight. Please phone us prior to your flight to confirm that weather conditions are suitable.

Cancellations & Refunds

• All our vouchers are transferrable, yet, are not refundable.
• If you need to change a reservation, please call at least 48hrs prior to the scheduled flight time.
• If you are ill on the day of the flight (prior to flying) please call us as early as possible to arrange another flight booking.
• Vouchers less than (3) calendar months past their “use-by” date can be reactivated for the cost difference of the original voucher and the current advertised price of an equivalent flight.
• Should inclement weather or aircraft serviceability issues prevent the voucher holder from flying within the validity date of the voucher we will extend the validity of the voucher to the first available day with suitable weather at no financial disadvantage to the voucher holder.
